What BobNote is
Lay everything out and look at it at once: matrix, mind map, and board views of the same material. Draw connections between cards, and let a linked copy stay in sync across boards. Boards nest inside boards — double-click one to step inside.
Everything lives in a BobFolder: a plain folder on your own disk. No sign-in, no account, fully offline. Apps come and go; your BobFolder is the record — and it is yours to read, copy, and keep with or without us.
A power cut mid-save, a drive unplugged at the wrong moment, an accidental delete. BobNote is engineered so your work stays recoverable, deleted cards wait in a recycle area before they are gone, and a damaged copy is refused rather than quietly accepted.
Because a BobFolder is plain files on disk, AI tools can read your library directly. They work in a disposable sandbox copy, never in the live one, and you review and decide what comes back in. Mermaid diagrams import as editable cards.
How it works
Drop in notes, files, pictures, and links. Arrange them until the shape of the thing is obvious at a glance.
Every card lands in a BobFolder you chose, on your own disk. Nothing is uploaded, because there is nowhere to upload it to.
Backing up is copying the folder. Moving machines is copying the folder. That is the whole procedure, and it works without us.
